Meflotas 250mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Meflotas 250mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Meflotas 250mg Tablet can cause dizziness, loss of balance and mental problems and this may affect your ability to drive.
There is limited information available on the use of Meflotas 250mg Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
CAUTION
Meflotas 250mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Meflotas 250mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Meflotas 250mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

How to use Meflotas Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Meflotas 250mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
How Meflotas Tablet works
Meflotas 250mg Tablet is a weak base that reaches high concentration within the malarial parasite and causes accumulation of toxic heme pigment, which kills it.
Common Abdominal pain, Abnormal dreams, Anxiety, Chills, Depression, Diarrhoea, Dizziness, Fever, Headache, Altered heart rate, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Itching, Loss of appetite, Muscle pain, Nausea, Rash, Ringing in ear, Vertigo, Visual impairment, Vomiting, Fatigue.

Consult your doctor before taking mefloquine if you have fits (seizures), any heart diseases or liver disorders.Seek immediate medical attention if you experience pain, burning, tingling, numbness in hands/feet and/or muscle weakness or problems in eyes or with vision after taking mefloquine.Do not drive or operate machinery while using mefloquine as it may cause dizziness and visual disturbances.Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
